Dated 1933 to the underside. The vase is approximately 6 3/4" in height. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. A wonderful example of Ruskin Pottery. Price: £1200. See our Moorcroft Pottery section for details. 3rd August 2011 Bo Hilton Painting For Sale We have recently acquired a very stylish painting by Bo Hilton. Bo Hilton was born in 1961, he moved to Botallack, near St Just in West Cornwall with his parents at the age of three. He lived there until he went to university in 1984, where he obtained a degree in Biology from London and later an MA in Fine Art at Brighton in 1988.
Hilton is the son of the late abstract painter, Roger Hilton, his mother Rose Hilton recently had a solo retrospective at Tate, St Ives.
He is a member of The New English Art Club. Over the last decade Bo has exhibited on a regular basis at the Royal Academy, NEAC and The 20th Century British art fair. Hilton's work hangs in many private collections. The painting depicts a lady reading a book. It is signed and dated 2010 to the underside. It is in excellent condition. We have two wonderful Watercolour Paintings by Sybil Mullen Glover available on our website. Sybil Mullen Glover was born in Cheshire, in her later life she was based in Plymouth, Devon. She was a member of The Royal Society Of Marine Artists. She exhibited in the United States, Sweden and at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters. She made history when elected the first female council member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Her work is in several galleries and museums. During her career she shared shows with Sir Hugh Casson and Francis Russell Flint. She died in 1995 and has since had a lifeboat named after her.
